PatchQuill does not bundle a model in the initial app package. The app can download and run a managed Ollama runtime and can request local model downloads, with Gemma through Ollama configured as the default target.

Ollama

The managed local runtime is downloaded from the official Ollama release distribution and stored under:

~/Library/Application Support/PatchQuill/ManagedOllama/

Ollama is a third-party open-source project. Its own license and notices apply.

Gemma

The default model target is Gemma via Ollama. Gemma model use is governed by Google's applicable Gemma terms and model documentation.

User-installed models

Users may select other local Ollama models. Those models may have different licenses, acceptable use policies, capabilities, and resource requirements.
